Rumor of new iPads being released on September 10th claimed to be false

Yesterday it was rumored that Apple will announce the new iPads on September 10th, at the same event it is expected to unveil the two new iPhones. That rumor has been claimed to be false by someone who’s deemed to be well connected.

The rumor actually originated from a Bloomberg report on Apple’s plan to launch a new retail store in Tokyo next year. It was mentioned in passing in that report that Apple is going to launch new versions of its smartphone and tablet on September 10th. There have already been a lot of rumors regarding the new iPhones being launched on this date, yesterday was the first we’ve ever heard of the possibility of the new tablets being launched as well.

Jim Dalrymple of The Loop, who is deemed to be well connected and has a proven track record of his predictions, claims that no new iPads will be unveiled at Apple’s September 10th event. He didn’t contradict the date, which was first rumored a few week back. It is now widely believed that the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S will be launched together on this date. It would have been the first time in Apple’s history that it would have unveiled the new smartphones and tablets at one event, it has never done that in the past.

Apple is expected to release the iPad 5 and iPad mini 2 later this year, possibly in the fourth quarter of 2013. Keeping this report and Apple’s tradition in mind, one can assume that its not likely for the company to unveil the new tablets next month.
