Purported iPad 5 front panel leaks, shows off slimmer bezels

A purported front panel of Apple’s next generation iPad has been leaked. The pictures show off what we’ve been hearing for quite some time. The iPad 5 is expected to be more compact and have bezels slimmer than its predecessors.

Apple is expected to make quite a few design changes in its new tablet. The design of the iPad has largely remained the same ever since iPad 2 was released back in 2011. iPad 2 had a radically different design than its predecessor, the original iPad. Apple hasn’t touched the design of its tablet since then, but this time around it is rumored to make it similar to the iPad mini. Therefore we’ve heard rumors of iPad 5 having slim bezels and being more compact overall.

Apart from the slim bezels, this purported iPad 5 front panel doesn’t reveal any further details about the design of Apple’s upcoming tablet. The next generation iPad is expected to be thinner and lighter than its predecessor, but to get an idea of that, we’ll have to look at a fully assembled unit complete with a display, internal components and the rear aluminium housing.

This iPad 5 front panel has been leaked by Sonny Dickson, who has already leaked quite a few components of the iPhone 5C and iPhone 5S. There hasn’t been any indication right now if Apple will offer iPad in colors other than black and white, like it is expected to offer its new iPhones in.
