New Nexus 7 now available in UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Japan on Google Play

Google’s second-generation Nexus 7 tablet has gone live on the Google Play Store in*UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Japan, ending its US and Canada exclusivity.

The new Nexus 7 has been getting rave reviews for being better than the original in just about every aspect, and also for being a great tablet overall (with perhaps the best display to ever grace a 7-inch slab). Now, people in the UK, Germany, France, Spain, and Japan will be able to get their hands on one, directly from the Google Play Store.

The new Nexus 7 is priced at*£199.99 for the 16GB version and £239.99 for 32GB in the UK, and at*27,800 yen for the 16GB model in Japan. The prices should be similar in other countries, though as with every Nexus device bought off the Play Store, you can expect to pay a substantial shipping fee if you decide to fork in your cash for the 1080p full HD tablet.

When it comes to specs, the new Nexus 7 runs on the latest version of Android, and flaunts a Snapdragon S4 processor (though it’s more of an underclocked Snapdragon 600 according to reports), 2GB of RAM, 16/32GB of storage, a 5-megapixel rear camera, 1.2-megapixel front-facing camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and LTE connectivity, and a*3950 mAh battery to keep the lights on.

Well, what are you waiting for? Head to the Play Store to grab a new Nexus 7.
