Galaxy Gear Manager screenshots confirm a lot of the Galaxy Gear rumors

Today, @evleaks leaked a set of screenshots of the Galaxy Gear Manager, which shows how users can control various features of the watch from their smartphones.

These screenshots confirm a lot of the rumors surrounding the Galaxy Gear. First off, the Galaxy Gear will feature a model number SM-V700. Also, the screenshot indicates that the watch will connect to your smartphone using either NFC or Bluetooth 4.0.

The second screenshot lists apps such as Clocks, My apps, Samsung Apps, Find my watch, Settings, and Help, and while the names themselves are indicative as to what they might offer, we have to wait till we see a demo of these features to see the exact functionality that is offered. It looks like the watch will feature its own apps, which is interesting to say the least.

Galaxy Gear Manager was first mentioned last week in an article on GigaOM, in which it was stated that by installing this app, you can control various facets of the watch from your smartphones directly. At this stage, it is not clear whether the app will be available through the Play Store or from Samsung’s store, but we don’t have to wait long as Samsung is going to official unveil the Galaxy Gear next week at the IFA in Berlin.
