iPhone 5C specifications allegedly leaked, Siri apparently not being dumped

Over the last couple of weeks we’ve seen a plethora of purported iPhone 5C casings being leaked. Today for the first time the alleged iPhone 5C specifications have leaked, they hint that Siri might not be dumped after all.*

A couple of weeks ago we picked up on a research note that well known Piper Jaffray analyst Gene Munster sent out to investors. He predicted in the note that iPhone 5C will replace iPhone 4S in Apple’s smartphone lineup and will cost around $300 off-contract. He also predicted that Apple will not add Siri virtual assistant in its budget iPhone because it requires special noise cancellation technology to be baked into the processor. We haven’t really heard much about the specifications of iPhone 5C, this is the first time that they’ve been rumored in detail.

The smartphone will apparently have a 4 inch display that offers 1,136×640 pixel resolution. It is said to have a dualcore processor with 1GB of RAM. An 8 megapixel rear camera and 1.2 megapixel front camera have been rumored as well. The smartphone is expected to be available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage options will five different colors being offered for each option. Said to weigh in at 106 grams, the expected measurements of iPhone 5C are 124.2mm x 58.4mm x 7.6mm.

Last but not the least, it has been rumored that Siri virtual assistant will be present on Apple’s budget iPhone. Naturally, one should be skeptical about this information since an official confirmation from Apple hasn’t been received yet. The company is expected to announce iPhone 5C next month.
