Japanese ebook online store ebook Japan is celebrating its “ebook day” today, November 29, 2013 and they have recently asked their customers which Japanese mangas have changed their destiny.

The poll was conducted from October 21-28, 2013 and a total of 646 people have responded and the results have Finally been announced.

Slam Dunk has been attributed to the rise of basketball’s popularity in Japan and also served as an inspiration for another popular basketball manga, Kuroko’s Basketball by*Tadatoshi Fujimaki. The series has received a lot of votes from both men and women from the 20′s and 30′s demographics which further solidifies the manga’s popularity.Dragon Ball meanwhile has proven to be a timeless classic and has served as an inspiration not just to manga artists and writers but also average everyday people whose childhoods have been touched by Akira Toriyama’s masterpiece.And then there is One Piece which still continues to influence people all across the world. Eiichiro Oda’s manga may still be ongoing but it has become considered a classic by many anime and manga enthusiasts.
