Sayonara PSP: Sony halts shipments of the PlayStation Portable in Japan

It’s time to say goodbye to the good ol’ PlayStation Portable.

Sony has announced that they*will stop*PSP*shipments to stores in Japan this month. Just last*January North American shipments of the handheld console was ceased.

Shipments to Europe will carry on*until later this year. On the other hand,*there are still no plans of ceasing the handheld console’s distribution to*Latin American and other Asian territories.

The PSP was originally released in Japan*back in December 2004 and in North America in 2005.

Sony’s PSP may be phased out from the market soon, but*we’ll always have nice recollections*of the games we played on it. Care to share*your PSP memories?
