The upcoming*Ghibli film, adapted from*Joan G. Robinson’s novel of the same title, is about a young girl named*Anna. She*hangs*out with a*mysterious girl by the name of Marnie at a house near a marsh one summer.*This movie aims to portray a “realistic*Hokkaido world of modern kids”.
When Marnie Was*There premieres on July 19 in Japan.
