Blue Exorcist stage play double feature finally shown

The live action stage play adaptation of Kazue Kato’s best-selling Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist) manga series has finally started and Japanese anime website Animeanime.jp has revealed some of the photos from the show which was held at*Ikebukuro’s*Sunshine Theater.


The*Blue Exorcist stage play double feature is still playing until June 29, 2014 and it features*Hiromi Sakimoto, who plays Yuya Sumii in Kamen Rider Gaim, as*Rin Okumura and*Kamen Rider Decade (Tsukasa Kadoya) himself, Masahiro Inoue, plays Rin’s younger twin brother Yukio. Here are some of the photos from the stage play:


The play is*a double feature and will be covers*two different arcs which were featured in Kazue Kato’s original manga. The first part covers*the “Awakening of the Blue Flame” arc while the second part is about*the “Kyoto Impure King” arc.*Inoue has said that he has practiced everyday for the role and even studied a lot of gun styles to portray Yukio correctly. Meanwhile, Sakimoto has admitted that the role of Rin has been challenging.
