Anime have plenty of smart characters who may not be strong physically, but they can certainly win battles just by using their vast intellects. These are the Batmans, Sherlock Holmes and the Tyrion Lannisters of anime which have certainly showed great intellectual fortitude under great pressure.

10) L (Death Note): 212 Points 9)*Shintaro Kisaragi (Mekaku City Actors): 257 points 8)*Shintarou Midorima (Kuroko’s Basketball): 264 votes 7) Tatsuya Shiba (The Irregular At Magic High School): 293 points 6) Tsubasa Hanekawa (Monogatari series): 363 points5) Shiro (No Game No Life): 366 points 4) Seijuro Akashi (Kuroko’s Basketball): 503 points 3) Conan Edogawa (Case Closed): 639 points 2) Light Yagami (Death Note): 659 points 1) Lelouch Vi Britannia (Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion): 718 votes
Taking the top spot on Charapedia’s list is Lelouch Lamperouge or Lelouch Vi Britannia. Lulu is a brilliant chess master which often leads him to dupe even the most experienced battle strategists Britannia has to offer. His use of his mind control Geass is nothing short of genius and his tactics are unpredictable.Light Yagami meanwhile tops his nemesis L as the former takes #2 while the latter only places 10th. Kuroko’s Basketball meanwhile has three entries in the list with Rakuzan point guard Seijuro Akashi taking #4 behind brilliant kid-detective Conan Edogawa.Shiro meanwhile topped her brother Sora*as the former takes #5 while the latter only places 11th. Both consider themselves as one player (blank), yet individually, looks like fans think Shiro is smarter than her brother.Other intellectual characters however weren’t able to make it to the top 20 and they include Naruto’s brilliant strategist Shikamaru Nara and even Conan Edogawa’s rival, Kaito Kid.
