Arpeggio of Blue Steel still has a story to tell–on the big screen.
In the*Young King Ours*magazine scans leaked by a fan, we see an announcement about*two movies scheduled to premiere next year. The first movie will be a compilation of the 12-episode series and the second one will feature a brand new story. The staff from the TV anime series will reunite for both movies.
Arpeggio of Blue Steel is set in a futuristic Earth that lost most of its landmass due to effects of global warming. *The “Fleet of Fog” with an arsenal of extremely powerful weapons appears and*defeats*humans which eventually prevented them from traveling the seas. After 17 years,*Gunzō Chihaya*along with his small crew called “Blue Steel” possess an*I-401 (a Fog submarine) with its mental model named*Iona. Altogether they stand up against the Fleet of Fog.
