Leaked video of Nexus 5 prototype offers a detailed look at the device

The latest Nexus 5 leaked video gives a glimpse of the device’s UI as well as Chrome, YouTube, Calendar and the Play Store.

The 7-minute video that was uploaded on YouTube shows a Nexus 5 prototype device which lacks the Nexus branding at the back. The date on the lockscreen shows October 9th, and the video itself highlights the device hardware from all angles and offers the clearest view of the Nexus 5 yet.

The UI lacked certain elements that were revealed in the TuttoAndroid leaks on Friday, like the notification bar transparency in the launcher, as well as the new dialer interface and Google Photos. The About section shows that the device is a Nexus 5 and that the build is Key Lime Pie, so it is possible that the build is an older one to the build that was on the device leaked by TuttoAndroid. You can see the 7-minute video below:

#gallery-13 { margin: auto; } #gallery-13 .gallery-item { float: left; margin-top: 10px; text-align: center; width: 50%; } #gallery-13 img { border: 2px solid #cfcfcf; } #gallery-13 .gallery-caption { margin-left: 0; } /* see gallery_shortcode() in wp-includes/media.php */

Other than UI elements, the video also shows off a lot of Google services and features that include Chrome, YouTube, Calendar and the Play Store. The device in the video looks like a 16 GB model, of which 12 GB is usable. One notable feature that was revealed in this video is the dual speakers at the bottom. Rumors currently suggest that Google will unveil the Nexus 5 along with Android 4.4 KitKat on October 15, so at least we don’t have to wait long to get a look at the final version of the device.
