Shojo manga 'Akatsuki no Yona' gets anime adaptation

The 15th issue of*Hana to Yume published by Hakusensha is announcing that the shojo manga Akatsuki no Yona will get adapted into a TV anime. The romance epic fantasy manga is by*Mizuho Kusanagi and was serialised in 2009.

The story revolves around Yona, the only princess of a vast*kingdom. She was raised in luxury*by her adoring*father and is*protected by her servant and childhood friend Hak. Tides turn on her 16th birthday when her*favorite cousin Soo-won kills her father to ascend the throne. Yona flees with Hak from the castle and start a new life in a town.


The following voice actors from the drama CD will reprise their roles for the anime:
