Fate/strange fake getting a full series

It may have started as an April Fool’s prank in TYPE-MOON, but now Fate/strange fake is getting a very real serialization.

WonFes*wasn’t the only event going on this weekend, as the Fate Project team also held a conference showing off their plans for this year. One of those plans includes the continuation of Fate/strange fake, which will go from short story to full light novel and manga series sometime this winter. Much like the short story it’s based on, TYPE-MOON will be collaborating with Dengeki Bunko for both forms.

Shizuki Morii is returning as the artist for the manga series, after illustrating the prank version. Also, unlike past series this one will be set in the American west, and focuses on the idea of a “hero” being corrupted, resulting in no real heroes. Some familiar faces will of course be returning, such as Gilgamesh. Here’s a peak at what his manga form will look like.

Will you be picking up the series when it starts in the winter?
