Kadokawa announces its plans to open 'Cool Japan' schools in select ASEAN Countries



Fans from ASEAN countries*will soon be given a chance to learn anime and manga production.

According to Kadokawa, two vocational*schools will be built in Singapore and Taiwan this fall. And by 2016, the leading Japanese publisher will establish*additional 10 schools in Hong Kong,*Malaysia and Thailand.

A total of five courses will be offered:*animation, manga, light novel writing, voice acting*and character design. All schools will be managed by*Kadokawa Contents Academy in Tokyo. Teachers from Japan will be sent to these institutions.

The*plans are*part of the Cool Japan policy which aims to promote Japanese pop culture.
