Nyanpasu~! Non Non Biyori, the anime that may or may not be set in the countryside, is coming back.*
A second season of Non Non Biyori was announced today at the fan event “Nyanpasu Festival na non”.*For those who aren’t familiar with the anime, it is centered around four girls ranging from first to eighth grade who live in a town so far into the countryside, cows regularly cross the street, the bus comes once every two hours, the closest “grocery store” is a vegetable stand, and there is only one school with five students.
Based on the manga series by Atto, the first season aired last fall and was praised as a relaxing, yet humorous casual anime. Also, Renge became famous for being one of the most eccentric first-graders in anime, and her catchphrase, “Nyanpasu~!” became an extremely viral buzzword.
After an enjoyable first season, a lot of fans will be glad to see Ren-chon and the others return.
And Niichan, too.
