This might have slipped by you in the pile of new smartphone and smartwatch news yesterday: the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a Micro USB*3.0 port that may very well change the way you charge your device, and transfer data between it and your PC. Details after the jump.
There are two big benefits to using USB 3.0. Firstly – as I am sure most of you already know – it will significantly boost data transfer speeds so copy-pasting music and videos to and from your PC to your Galaxy Note 3 will be a shorter ordeal. Secondly, since USB 3.0 can charge at 900mAh, it means your device will charge up nearly as fast as a AC wall charger! This is of course dependent on the presence of a USB 3.0 port on your PC – most, if not all of the latest laptops and desktops come with at least one USB 3.0 port.
You can see the new Micro USB 3.0 port in the photo below.

What’s even neater is how the Galaxy Note 3′s microUSB port supports both 2.0 and 3.0, so you can use chargers with older pins.
