Alcatel One Touch Idol S and Idol Mini launched

Alcatel officially unveiled two new Android smartphones in the market. These include One Touch Idol S and Idol Mini which quietly appeared on Alcatel website.





Recently, Alcatel updated its website to quietly launch a number of handsets. The company updated its One Touch Family and brings updates to the handsets that were launched in CES this year, bringing some decent specifications at the table.

The first one in the lineup is the Idol S that features a thickness of 7.4mm and comes in variety of colors including Slate, Cherry Red and Fresh Rose. The device brings a 4.7-inch IPS HD display sporting a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels, dual-core processor with a clock speed of 1.2GHz, 1GB RAM, 4GB internal storage with a microSD card slot, WiFi, Bluetooth and runs Android 4.2 Jelly Bean on top of it. On the back side, the device bring a 8MP shooter with LED flash and HDR followed by a 1.3MP front camera. The devices comes pre-loaded with a number of popular games including Asphalt 7, Wonder Zoo, Gameloft Live and a few more.



Last but not the least, the Idol Mini brings a 4.3-inch display with a 480 x 854 pixels resolution and can be considered an entry level device compared to the other two. The device is powered by a dual-core 1.3GHz processor with 512MB RAM, 5MP back camera and runs Android 4.2. The storage space varies on this handset as it comes with two variants: single SIM and dual-SIM. The single SIM variant comes with 4GB internal memory while the latter brings 8GB onboard. The device is available in slate, cranberry pink and silver color.
