The seven-part*The Next Generation -Patlabor- live action*series promises to be very action packed as new screenshots from the series’ Chapter 1 have finally been revealed.
The screenshots finally reveal the cockpit of the*Type-98 AV Ingram*which has been seen in several locations including Saitama. The screenshot shows former Hello! project idol and actress Erina Mano inside the cockpit ready to fire the Ingram’s Labor Canon. Mano plays Akira Izumino.
A screenshot also reveals actor Toshio Kakei outside the Ingram waiting for the mecha to fire its Labor Canon. He plays Captain Keiji Gotoda.
The live action Patlabor will also star a real life mech, the Kuratas, which is a real mecha built for actual combat.
The live action Patlabor will be comprised of seven parts namely*an episode zero (10 minutes runtime), 12 full episodes (48 minutes each) which will begin on April 5, 2014, and a 100-minute feature-length film that’s slated to be released in 2015.
