The Z87 MPower MAX AC now comes with Wi-Fi ac and Bluetooth 4.0 connectivity.

The AC in the name is to signify Wi-Fi ac connectivity. The board can achieve 867 Mb/s on the 5GHz channel, and also comes with Bluetooth 4.0 and Intel’s Wi-Di. The ATX form factor motherboard is designed for fourth-gen Intel Haswell processors (Socket LGA 1150) and has a 20-phase VRM that powers the CPU. It comes with four DDR3 DIMM slots, three PCI-Express 3.0 x16 slots that can be used in configurations of either x16/NC/NC, x8/x8/NC or x8/x4/x4, four PCI-Express 2.0 x1 slots and one mPCIe slot.
In addition to Wi-Fi connectivity, the board features a Killer E2205 Gigabit Ethernet controller. There is also a Realtek ALC1150 audio card for 7.1 channel surround sound, eight SATAIII 6 Gb/s ports and one mSATA port. At the back, there are two USB 2.0 ports, six USB 3.0 ports, one DisplayPort and two HDMI connectors, both with a maximum resolution of 4096×2160.
The Z87 MPower MAX AC is an OC Certified board, which means that each board successfully clears MSI’s military-class burn-in test. The board features overclocking utilities from Intel and MSI that give users the ability to change voltages, CPU clocks, fan settings or system clocks.
The pricing information isn’t available yet for the MPower MAX AC, but it should be out in the market sometime later this quarter.
