Apple continues tweaking the user interface with the latest beta of iOS 7.1.
For a couple of months now the upcoming iOS 7.1 update has been in beta stage. Developers have been testing out various betas of the update before its deemed fit for public release. When beta 3 was seeded recently, it was found that Apple had made a number of user interface tweaks. The momentum has carried on to iOS 7 beta 4 as well, which was seeded today to registered developers.
This time around there aren’t as many UI tweaks as compared to the previous beta, more changes appear to have been made under the hood. Though some of the most notable changes in this beta include a new slide to unlock/power animation, the bar that pops up is now more prominent and has a brighter and slower animation.*The dialer has been slightly tweaked as well. To add a new contact from the dialer, users previously tapped on the “+ Add to Contacts,” line that was displayed under the number. It has now been replaced with a + sign that shows up on the left hand side of the phone number.*Last but not the least, Siri in the UK has received a new voice on the iPad.
iOS 7.1 is going to be the first major update for Apple’s latest and greatest mobile platform update. So far four betas have been seeded to developers, it remains to be seen when the firmware is pushed out to end users.
