iFile for iOS 7 finally available in Cydia

The popular file manager for iOS devices is now available in the alternative app store.

There’s an active jailbreak community out there which focuses on freeing up iOS devices, thus allowing them to do what is not possible by default. Jailbreaking an iOS device opens up a world of customization options, users can install new tweaks that radically change the user experience as well as apps that Apple wouldn’t allow on the App Store. One such app is iFile, a very popular file manager for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch that has been around for quite some time now. The updated iFile for iOS 7 has finally been released in Cydia, which is often referred to as the “alternative” app store.

This is the perfect time for an updated iFile to be released, given the fact that last month the first ever iOS 7 untethered jailbreak was released, which even covers all of the latest Apple mobile devices. Moreover, last week, an untethered jailbreak for iOS 6.1.3-6.1.5 was also released, meaning that those who can not upgrade from that particular firmware can also enjoy the freedom a jailbroken device offers.

iFile is all encompassing file manager and viewer for iOS devices that runs under use root. It gives users full access to the files on their iOS devices just like Finder does on a Mac. It is perfect for advanced management and customization of a device’s files. The updated version brings user enhancements, design parity with iOS 7, new icons and new buttons. iFile for iOS 7 is now available for download from Cydia.
