Wake Up Girls fans, this is the news you’ve been waiting for, as the*“Wake Up, Girls! Festa 2016 Super Live” announced that the Sendai-based idol group is back for a new TV anime!
As the video has shown, the new TV anime will feature new character designs, as Millepensee is taking over the animation for Studio Ordet.*Miyuki Sugawara is the new character designer, replacing Sunao Chikaoka, while Shin Itagaki is the new director, replacing Yutaka Yamamoto. The original cast is slated to reprise their roles however.

While the original Wake Up, Girls! members are returning, new characters will also be added, and they are even holding auditions for the roles.
