China Telecom iPhone 6 pre-order page goes live

The carrier has already*published its pre-order page for the iPhone 6.

It is worth mentioning here that Apple has still not officially announced the iPhone 6. Pre-orders pages are usually put up once the company has unveiled the smartphone so this is rather unusual. The China Telecom iPhone 6 pre-order page includes renders of the device as well as some specifications, but don’t believe them to be the final word.

The pre-order page lists most of what has already been rumored about Apple’s new iPhones. It allows potential customers to choose between a 4.7-inch iPhone 6 and a 5.5-inch iPhone 6 with 3 megapixel front camera, new A8 processor, Touch ID fingerprint sensor as well as a 2,100mAh battery.

However this is not the first time that China Telecom has tried creating hype for upcoming iPhones. Last year it ran a social media campaign for the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c before both devices were released, the image of the latter turned out to be a faked and the iPhone 5s image was nothing more than a dummy unit. So it is highly likely that the carrier is doing the same with this year’s new iPhones as well.

Apple is going to take the stage on Tuesday to unveil its new iPhones. Only then we’ll know for sure what the new smartphones have under the hood. Fortunately we only have less than two days to wait.
