The 'Top 10 Winter 2014 Anime' according to animeanime.jp

The 2014 Winter Anime Season has finally reached its midway point and Japanese media website animeanime.jp has just recently conducted a survey asking people which series do they think is the best this cold winter season.

The survey’s results are divided into three parts – the General results, the Male Demographic results and the Female Demographic results. Let us begin with the survey’s General results:

10) Witchcraft Works (256 votes) 9/8) Tonari no Seki-Kun (257 votes) 9/8) Nagi no Asukara/*Nagi-Asu: A Lull in the Sea (257 votes) 7)*Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha (268 votes) 6) World Conquest Zvezda Plot (272 votes) 4) Kill la Kill (284 votes) 3) Nisekoi (293 votes) 2)*Chuunibyou 2 (301 votes) 1) Noragami (331 votes)

Noragami has proven to be popular for both genders for its great story and action and has been regarded as one of this season’s best new anime. #2 Chuunibyou meanwhile has proven its staying power by reminding us why we love the weird and delusional characters with an engaging story and plenty of great laughs and artwork. Nisekoi meanwhile takes the #3 spot with the tried and tested high school romantic comedy formula of (seemingly) normal guy + tsundere girl + kind childhood friend *+ harem + lots of laughs.Now let’s take a look at the results for the female survey:10) Tonari no Seki-Kun9)*Inari, Konkon, Koi Iroha8/7) Yowamushi Pedal8/7) Nisekoi6) Hamatora5) Silver Spoon 24) Magi: The Kingdom of Magic3) Kuroko’s Basketball2) Noragami

Surprise surprise, Hoozuki no Reitetsu, which did not make the top 10 in the general results takes first place ahead of general results winner Noragami. The series has proven to be popular with females all over Japan. Chuunibyou is still very strong and takes the #1 spot for the male results. Looks like the Dark Flame Master and the Tyrant’s Eye are still untouchable.
