The next major iOS update, currently in beta stage, may be released a few weeks from today.
Only a couple of days ago iOS 7.1 beta 5 was seeded to developers, giving birth to speculation that perhaps Apple is nearing the end of the beta cycle for iOS 7.1. This particular update has been in the beta stage for a couple of months now, developers have been testing out each release and reporting any bugs found to Apple, which aims to make it almost flawless when it is released to the public. A software vendor claims that iOS 7.1 release has been planned for early March.
On the other hand, there are rumors that Apple won’t seed another beta version to developer, instead its likely to seed a Gold Master build, which is the final developer-only version before the firmware rolls out to end users. iOS 7.1 GM build is expected to be released imminently, so if these reports are true, said build might drop rather unexpectedly.
End users can expect quite a new features in iOS 7.1, such as iOS in the Car. Moreover the firmware will also bring a few improvements, Calendar View is expected to make a return, new power buttons, user interface tweaks and improvements to the keyboard are also believed to be onboard. Rumor has it that iOS 7.1 will be released to the public early next month, so keep your fingers crossed.
