With all the rumors floating around regarding the 4th installment of the*Marvel vs. Capcom crossover fighting game, gaming news website Polygon has reported that their sources have told them that*Marvel vs. Capcom 4 is now ” currently in development and slated for release sometime in 2017.”

The site also reported that the game will be officially revealed during*Sony’s PlayStation Experience event later this week, which is also*where the Capcom Cup 2016 Street Fighter 5 tournament will be held.They also said that fans should expect MVC4 to “draw strongly from the cinematic universe that Marvel Studios has popularized — and has full control over — during the past decade.” This means that we should expect more Avengers and Guardians of the Galaxy and less X-Men and Fantastic 4… sorry Wolverine fans.
