The simultaneous release is in line with Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale’s Japanese premiere date. However, the announcement did not reveal any further details about the movie’s worldwide release, but we do know that the film will be screened in theaters around the world, though we still don’t know where exactly these theaters will be located.Sword Art Online is also known for its global appeal, and the announcement also talks about the global sales of Reki Kawahara’s popular light novel series:
