NVIDIA wants to ban Samsung Galaxy and Note smartphones

NVIDIA has filed a patent lawsuit against Samsung and Qualcomm.

Apple isn’t the only company with beef against Samsung.* The Santa Clara-based chip design company wants to block 12 Samsung devices from entering the US market.* These devices include: the Galaxy Note, Note Pro, Note 3, Tab S, Tab Pro, Tab 2, Galaxy S III, S4, S5, Infuse 4G, and the Samsung Illusion.* Samsung’s Note and Galaxy line of products are major players in the hotly contested US domain, and should such a patent suit go the way of NVIDIA, US consumers may have to settle for another brand.

According to NVIDIA, Samsung infringed upon the chip designer’s graphics technology, and until Samsung agrees to the patent license fees, the company will do whatever it takes to block Galaxies and Notes from entering the US.

On Samsung’s end, the South Korean tech company argues that the patent issue is caused by its suppliers.* Whoever the scapegoat is, let’s just sit back and enjoy the fireworks.
