We are not surprised with #1 as Animate ranks the Top 45 anime of Summer 2015

Today marks the first day of August, which means some of the new Summer 2015 anime are already a third into their respective runs, but which of them are the ones people consider their favorites? Japanese anime merchandise giant, Animate, takes a look.
In a poll which ran from July 9 – 29, 2015, Animate asked fans to vote for their favorite anime currently running this season, and their results yield a mix of expected winners and surprises. 81.3% of the voters were female while only 18.7% were male, however, fans were allowed to vote for multiple answers. So which are the anime that Japanese fans like the most this season? Here are the results:

The lovable Wagnaria crew are back, and they have proven to still have that staying power by winning the top spot in Animate’s poll, which featured plenty of anime heavyweights. The win is not really that surprising as Working!!! has been loved by many fans across the world.#2 ranked Durarara!! meanwhile is also proving its staying power, while #3 ranked*Snow White with the Red Hair has been a real treat to watch. The majority female voters also proved to be too much as a few upsets have been featured in the poll made the top 10 and bagged huge upsets over Gansta., Gate and Shimoneta, which also made the Top 10.However, a few of this season’s heavy hitters have managed not to get into the Top 10, like Monster Musume, Ushio and Tora, The iDOLM@STER: Cinderella Girls, Non Non Biyori Repeat, To Love-ru Darkness, and Aquarion Logos. One of the biggest surprises of the poll also include the fact that Dragon Ball Super did not place very high in the list.

[VIDEO] One Punch Man's latest PV streamed

One Punch Man is undoubtedly one of this year’s most highly anticipated new anime, and to tease fans even further before its big October premiere, the Bandai Visual youtube channel has started streaming its*latest PV, which introduces its lovable, yet hairless, main character, Saitama.

The anime is scheduled to premiere this October 2015 and will star*Makoto Furukawa (Golden Time’s Banri Tada) as Saitama, the hero who trained so hard to be overpowered that all of his hair fell off. You can check out its first PV through this link
Space Dandy’s Shingo Natsume will be at the helm of the project as the director with the animation production being done by Madhouse
